Price: I bought a voucher on Groupon for Blooms Today for $20 a supposed ($40 value) with free shipping. I was under the impression that I was getting a great deal but that was not the case.
I paid Groupon the $20 for my said $40 value voucher, which then led me to Blooms Todays website and there I choose a $75.00 flower arrangement which said 50% off ($35.00) next to the flower arrangement. So I figured $35.00? Thats a steal for a said $75.00 arrangement. I thought heck yea....$35.00 plus 5.00 for the vase=$40.00, deduct the $20.00 I already paid on Groupon...
leaves me with a $20.00 balance. I was good with that so I thought but at the check out, I had a total balance of $42.00 so between Groupon & Blooms Today I ended up paying $62.00. How is that a deal? For a #20.00 deal?
Delivery: I always thought that when you buy flowers at a flower shop & have them delivered, they are delivered by the flower shop staff door to door service.
Am I right or wrong? So I purchased these flowers for my beautiful sister who is disabled, has a (right leg amputee) and ambulattion is very limited for her. She's been going through a tough time these past few days and I thought me sending her flowers would brighten up her day atleast a little bit. However, I must say Iam very disappointed on the delivery time the delivery was made & the delivery manner in which the flower arrangement was delivered.
UPS delivered, not a local flower shop as advertised. My sister lives in a 4 appartment complex type of housing. She lives on the top appartment of the complex and her door has a number on it. However, despite me writing an address with a appartment number on the address slip, UPS decided to deliver the flowers at 7:15pm per their tracking system, in which to me is late in the evening time.
The day is almost over.. and to add injury....UPS didnt even deliver the flowers up to my sisters door. UPS left the (package) flowers outside near the front entrance of the complex. It was 8pm & I still had not heard from my sister, so I decided to call my sister to ask if she had received anything today and her response was "No why?" So here I had to spoil the surprise & ask her to send someone downstairs to look in the hall or outside for a package I had sent for her.
Sure enough, there was the package sitting outside near the front entrance. If I had not called my sister, who knows if the package would've been stolen being that it is holiday season and its prime time for packages to be stolen. The flowers were sitting outside in the cold for 45mins before I made her aware. Im so disappointed.
Having to call her to ask her if she received anything definitely took away from what I was trying to do for her which was to SURPRISE her. Nonetheless, she claimed she was happy and she loved the flower arrangement.
Me on the other hand....Iam not so happy with Blooms Today & or UPS. I will not be using Blooms Today again
